Five people were arrested in rural Creek County after shots were fired following a chase with sheriff's deputies late Tuesday evening.
It started after 8 p.m. when a Creek County Sheriff's deputy got into a chase with a car near 61st Street South and 34th West Avenue.
The chase ended in the 7500 block of South 49th West at the home of the man being pursued by the deputy.
Creek County sheriff's deputies say after the chase the driver got out of his car and started fighting with a deputy, then ran inside the home.
The man's parents began yelling at the deputy to get off their property.
At that point, the driver's brother came out of a nearby home and fired several gunshots into the air, deputies say.
More deputies arrived and after more shouting and some additional scuffles with several family members, deputies arrested the driver, his father and mother, a brother and another woman.
In all, five people were taken to the Creek County jail on a variety of complaints including eluding, resisting arrest and discharging a firearm.
The Creek County Sheriff's Office and tribal police are still investigating.
