The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles finished non-conference play with a loss to Kansas Wednesday night in Lawrence.
ORU fell to the Jayhawks 85-68 for its second straight loss and now sits at 7-5 on the year.
The two teams were tied 19-19 midway through the first half, but Kansas went on a 20-8 run to put the Jayhawks up 41-29 at the half.
The Golden Eagles were riddled with turnovers, as the KU defense forced 24. The Jayhawks also held ORU star Kevi Luper to 39.1 percent shooting, a much lower number than her season average of 48.8 percent.
Despite a lower shooting average, Luper still paced the Golden Eagles with 20 points, two steals and two rebounds on the night. Jordan Pyle added 13 points and eight rebounds.
The Jayhawks had three players score 15 points or more. Carolyn Davis led KU with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Aishah Sutherland added 18 points, seven rebounds and four blocks while Monica Engelman tallied 16 points and five assists.
Kansas moves to 10-1 on the season after shooting 51.6 percent from the field. Oral Roberts finished the night on 41 percent shooting.
ORU will take the court again Dec. 29 at South Dakota. Tip time is set for 7 p.m.
