The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will have extra eyes on the roads this New Year's Day. They will have an additional 14 troopers working again this year, because it was so successful last year.
But, they won't just be watching for people who'd have too much to drink, but also drivers who aren't giving their full attention to road, whether they're texting, looking at a map or reading.
"I saw someone the other day reading their Bible while driving down the road. Not a good thing to do while you're driving," said Lt George Brown, Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Lieutenant Brown says this is the only warning you'll get. He says come New Year's Eve, troopers will be waiting with handcuffs ready.
