Tulsa Couple Arrested In Hotel Stockpile Of Stolen Goods

A Tulsa man and woman police say had a stockpile of stolen goods in a hotel room are in jail. Alert cleaning staff led police to uncover the stash.

Tulsa Police have arrested a man and woman they say had a stockpile of stolen goods in a hotel room. Alert cleaning staff led police to uncover the stash in the Airport Ramada Inn, 1010 N. Garnett.

James Benjamin Baker, 27, in being held in the Tulsa County Jail on a $39,000 bond. He was booked on several complaints including being a felon in possession of stolen goods, controlled drugs and a firearm.

Twenty-year-old Lacie Michelle Smetheres was booked on a complaint of concealing stolen property.

Police took possession of numerous items, from pistols to gaming consoles. Three of the items had been reported stolen.

Victims with proof of ownership can reclaim their items, according to Detective J.B. Bennett.
