TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa men's basketball team lost its fourth consecutive game Wednesday 77-67 to Wichita State.

The teams traded baskets to start the game, with the lead changing hands several times and neither team holding an advantage of more than four points. But Tulsa (4-6) went on an 11-2 run to take an eight-point lead.

Wichita State (6-2) cut into that lead in the final minutes of the first half, and Tulsa led 41-37 at halftime. The Golden Hurricane held on to that lead through much of the second half, but Wichita State closed the game strong.

WSU first went on a 9-2 run to eliminate Tulsa's lead. The Hurricane briefly retook that lead, but WSU responded with an even bigger run. It closed the game on 20-9 run and put the game out of reach, sealing the victory.

Wichita State got even offensive production from all its key players. A total of six players – including all five starters – scored in double figures, led Toure Murray. WSU shot 52 percent from the field as a team with no single player attempting more than nine shots.

Tulsa's production was much more focused, with Jordan Clarkson and Scottie Haralson leading the way with 18 points each. But they combined to shoot 12-of-28 from the floor, while the Hurricane as a team shot 44 percent.

Since starting the season with three wins, the Hurricane has hit a rough patch. TU has lost its last four straight games and six of its last seven. It will get 10 days off before its next game against Texas-Arlington at 6 p.m. on Dec. 17.
