Man Arrested In Cushing Woman's Murder

CUSHING, Oklahoma -- An arrest was made in the Cushing murder of a woman found badly beaten in an alley Friday morning.

Agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation and Cushing police arrested Benjamin Joel Andre Littlesun. He was arrested at a Cushing hotel later that evening.

Investigators say the unidentified woman was discovered by a person walking in the alleyway behind the Cushing Tag Agency.  

She was found barely alive with significant trauma to her body. She later died at a Cushing hospital. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Authorities believe the woman was in her 40s. A positive ID has not been made yet.

Littlesun was booked into the Payne County Jail on the murder complaint.
