The fallout continues from the possibility that Tulsa's postal service processing center at 21st Street and 91st East Avenue could shut down.
At a meeting Thursday night, the Postal Service laid out its plan to eliminate four centers in Oklahoma.
Tulsa would be the largest with 573 employees. It will save the Postal Service $11 million a year, but some wonder whether savings really outweigh the benefits.
While 400 of those employees would be able to transfer to Oklahoma City, the rest would be laid off. And union leaders say local overnight delivery would not be possible anymore.
The postal service says the standard would be still be within two to three days for deliveries.
