Oklahoma Man Turns 101

It was a big birthday for one of Oklahoma's own. Travis Dorsey celebrated 101 years Tuesday.

Dorsey was born in Grayson, Oklahoma. He worked as a brick mason, and says he's always loved baseball.

He was married for 21 years until his wife died in 1954. The couple had nine of Dorsey's thirteen children.

Daughter Rose says her father's positive outlook is the secret to his longevity.

"He's a happy kind of person. He's never negative. He's always been encouraging to his children.. to do the best they could. Be the best persons they could be in life," said Rose Davis, daughter.

Dorsey has 36 grandchildren, and is proud to still live independently.
