Broken Down Pickup Causes Delays On Will Rogers Turnpike

A broken down pickup truck pulling a camper had backed up along the Will Rogers Turnpike in Ottawa County Saturday morning. The truck broke down in a construction zone at mile marker 329 and had traffic backed up into Missouri, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Joplin Police came to the scene to help provide traffic control on the busy holiday weekend day. 

The road was closed for almost an hour, reopening at 8:05 a.m.
