A 15-year-old is in serious condition after an apparent drive-by shooting in the 1900 block of North Main Street at about 10 p.m. Friday.

Tulsa police say the young man was sitting in the backseat of a car parked in a driveway when the shooting took place. Another car drove by, and a passenger leaned out the window firing several bullets into the parked car, according to Sergeant Steve Stoltz with the Tulsa Police Department.

One bullet entered the rear window and hit the teen in the back.

The shooting victim was able to run into the house, and family members called for help, Stoltz said.

The victim was treated at the scene then taken to a local hospital in serious condition, according to EMSA Spokesperson Chris Stevens.

He is expected to survive his injuries, Stoltz said.
