OKLAHOMA CITY –The Owasso Rams knocked off the Midwest City Bombers 48-45 in four overtimes to move on in their bracket.
Not only was the game itself thrilling, but the final play that decided it all will be stuck in the memories of both teams.
In the first possession of the fourth overtime, the Bombers kicked a field goal to go up by three points.
Owasso running back Scottie Prealow busted off what looked to be a touchdown run after the Rams took over. But a defender chasing him down knocked the ball loose and Prealow fumbled it into the end zone.
But Midwest City couldn't jump on it and seal the game. Instead, an Owasso player jumped on the ball and picked up the touchdown and the victory.
Owasso moves on to face Broken Arrow in the semifinals, a team that beat them 48-20 at the beginning of the year. Time and site for the game are to be determined.
Jenks will play Union in the other semi final game with the winners vying for the 6A State Championship.
