A survey of parents and community leaders says they want to district to leave sixth graders alone.
Right now, most sixth graders attend elementary school. Except at two magnet schools and two demonstration academies, where the sixth graders are in middle schools.
Seventy-six-percent of those surveyed want it to stay that way, rather than move those students back to elementary.
A task force will review the results, and then make a recommendation for the school board next month.
If you want to give your opinion, go to the district's website.
