TU's Idlet Receives C-USA Honors After Career High Night

University of Tulsa center Steven Idlet is this week's Conference USA Player of the Week after a career high performance in the Golden Hurricane win over Southeastern Louisiana.

Idlet garnered the first men's basketball weekly honor thanks to a career high 23 point performance on 9-of-9 shooting from the field in TU's 67-52 victory.

In the first week of play Idlet, a native of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, averaged 15 points, 4.5 rebounds and 73 percent shooting from the floor.

In the season opener Idlet scored seven points and tallied five rebounds to lead the Hurricane to a 65-49 win over UALR.

The honor marks the first C-USA Player of the Week honor in his career.

Tulsa returns to action Thursday Nov. 17 in first round play of the Charleston Classic against Western Kentucky at 11:30 a.m.
