Tulsa families and businesses can take advantage of free recyclable materials drop off Tuesday, November 15. Tulsa Recycle and Transfer welcomes materials like cardboard, paper, plastics and aluminum in honor of America Recycles Day.

Drop off recyclable products at the Materials Recovery Facility, 1150 N. Peoria or at area "Feed Mr. Murph" containers.

"Mr. Murph was created for days like America Recycles Day on November 15th," said Tom Hill, CEO of Tulsa Recycle and Transfer, American Waste Control and American Environmental Landfill.

"Because of Mr. Murph we are diverting up to 80 percent of the waste stream from landfills and creating new products with the recyclable materials. It's these types of sustainable practices that will help keep Tulsa green in the future."

TRT is located at 1150 N. Peoria and accepts newspapers, cardboard, aluminum, and plastic at their transfer location. Hours for drop off are 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
