It might not feel like, but the holidays are just right around the corner. The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree is on its way to Washington.
The 118 year old, 63-foot tall Sierra White Fir was cut down in California on Saturday.
Now, it's on a 4,500 mile journey across the country.
It'll make two dozen stops along the way, including a stop at Oklahoma's Tinker Air Force base in Midwest City on November 19, 2011.
For more information about the tree, its journey and its history, by visiting the Capitol Christmas Tree website.
