Ochelata Soldier To Be Buried Saturday

Sergeant Christopher Gailey's body will arrive in Tulsa Wednesday afternoon, and his funeral has been set for Saturday. He was one of two Oklahoma soldiers killed November 1.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The funeral for an Ochelata soldier killed in Afghanistan on November 1, 2011, will be Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bartlesville.

Sergeant Christopher Gailey, 26, was killed after an IED detonated near his military vehicle. The Ochelata soldier's funeral will be 2 p.m.

Gailey's casket will be returned to Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon at the Tulsa Air National Guard base at Tulsa International Airport. 

Sergeant Gailey and Specialist Sarina Butcher, 19, of Checotah were both killed when the IED detonated. Both were assigned to Company F, 700th Brigade Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team based in Sand Springs.

Funeral arrangements for Butcher is still pending.
