OHP IDs Man Killed In Tulsa I-244 Auto-Pedestrian Crash Last Week

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the identity of a man who died after he was struck by multiple cars on I-244 near Memorial on Wednesday evening, October 26, 2011.

Troopers say he was Mario Aquino, 50.  

Aquino was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma.

The OHP says an eastbound SUV first struck Aquino and before that driver could stop and run to his aid seven more vehicles struck Aquino.

The incident forced troopers to close the eastbound lanes for several hours.
