PAWNEE COUNTY, Nebraska -- A Tulsa man suspected of driving away from one collision was killed in a second wreck in southeast Nebraska Saturday.

Steven W. Epps was killed at about 5:55 p.m. October 29, 2011, when he lost control of his Honda car on a turn and crashed into a field near Burchard, Nebraska, according to the Pawnee County, Nebraska Sheriff's Office.

Epps, 57, was driving at a high rate of speed and was not wearing a seat belt, according to deputies.

Investigators believe alcohol was involved in the rollover wreck, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Epps' car had been involved in an earlier crash about 30 miles away, near Steele City. Jefferson County, Nebraska authorities say his Honda hit another vehicle at about 5:24 p.m. and left the scene.

Four people in the other vehicle were treated and released at a nearby hospital.
