OWASSO, Oklahoma -- Owasso Police have four suspects in custody in a string of residential and car burglaries. The men are thought to be responsible for at least two first degree burglaries and several thefts from automobiles in the Southern Links and Central Park housing additions.
Police were called to the 8300 block of North 98th East Avenue just before 5 a.m. to investigate a possible theft from a vehicle, according to Sergeant Nick Boatman of the Owasso Police Department. The caller saw a man running across a golf course green at Southern Links.
Officers arrested two Tulsa teens they found nearby: 18-year-old Michael Alexander Moore and 19-year-old Ryan Jacob Dorland. They then chased down a third suspect, 18-year-old Cody Alan Theriac of Owasso.
Just before 8 a.m., someone called in from a local convenience store and led police to a fourth suspect, 20-year-old Stephon Paige of Tulsa.
"Stolen property recovered by officers is being reviewed, and investigators will attempt to contact owners," Boatman said.
"We're trying to find as many of the victims that we can now," he told the News On 6.
Residents of Southern Links are asked to search their yards for stolen property the suspects may have discarded as they ran from police.
"A foot chase of the third suspect crossed many fences and back yards," Boatman said.
If you think you were victimized by these men or find any stolen property near the housing additions, call the Owasso Police at 918-272-2244 and dial "0" for dispatch.
