Memorial Service Set For Anthony Germany

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A memorial service for Golden Hurricane four-year letterman Anthony Germany, Jr. has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 24 in the Sanctuary of Sharp Memorial Chapel on the TU campus.

Germany died the evening of Oct. 18 of complications from a pulmonary embolism, and had recently suffered an injury playing flag football. He is the second former Golden Hurricane player to die in the past two months after George Clinkscale passed away after competing in a boxing match at GUTS Church.

The three-year starter is survived by his wife, former Tulsa women's basketball player Chivis (Merriweather) Germany and his parents, Anthony and Karon Germany.
