TULSA, Oklahoma -- A man living in an east Tulsa duplex fought off several intruders late Wednesday evening.

Tulsa Police believe the man could have been a victim of a home invasion in the 10100 block of East 30th Street at about 10:30 p.m.

According to initial reports the man had been shot in the head, but EMSA paramedics determined he was bleeding from several bad cuts on his head.

The victim told Tulsa Police he was assaulted by at least two men and a woman who told him they wanted his big screen TV.

After tearing the TV off the wall, the intruders took the man's wallet then drove off in a brown pickup truck.

They left the TV behind.

Police found at least one shell casing in the home, leading them to believe at least one shot had been fired during the incident.

Police believe the man was beaten by either a handgun or a sharp-edged object.

The unidentified victim was listed in stable condition.

Officers could not find any sign of forced entry into the home.

If anyone has information about the incident they are being asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
