JENKS, Oklahoma -- The unique learning environment at the Grace Living Center in Jenks is set to be the topic of a new documentary.
A film crew traveled all the way from Switzerland to learn about the nursing home's program, which allows children to attend their first two grades of school at the Living Center, rather than a classroom.
The film maker and his crew will be in Jenks all this week to meet with residents and students, as they collect research for their new documentary.
"It's a unique atmosphere; it has a lot of ambiance; it look like a village; you can hear the kids; you can hear the birds, and you have old and young mingle. It's special; it's unique," said Stascha Bader, Documentary Film Maker.
He says there aren't programs like this in Europe, and that he's fascinated by the remarkable difference it has made in the lives of Grace residents.
