Bixby Teenager Dies After Falling Off Pickup Truck Tailgate

OKMULGEE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- A Bixby teenager is dead after he fell off the tailgate of a pickup truck onto a rural road in Okmulgee County Sunday afternoon. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says for some unknown reason the driver of the pickup truck lost control causing Nicolas Reynaga Jr. to fall off the tailgate.

Reynaga was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 260 and Nicholas Road.

The driver of the pickup truck, Santiago Ramirez, 22, of Bixby, and a passenger from Sapulpa, Scott Villa, 23, were not injured.
