Tulsa SPCA Holds Adopt-A-Thon

The Tulsa SPCA is hoping you'll find the perfect new companion at its "Howl at the Moon adopt-a-thon going on this weekend.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa SPCA is hoping you'll find the perfect new companion at its "Howl at the Moon adopt-a-thon going on this weekend.

Volunteers say there are many loving pets just waiting for the perfect home. The adopt-a-thon includes special adoption rates, low cost shots and discount grooming -- plus some fun things like face painting for kids and a costume contest for the dogs.

"We have a kissing booth for our animals where you can come out and get a smooch from a pooch. We have just a whole bunch of fun and family oriented things that people can come out to do," said Lisa Frazier, Tulsa SPCA.

The adopt-a-thon continues until 8 p.m. Friday at the SPCA location at 2910 Mohawk. It runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
