BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- Green Country voters went to the polls Tuesday. Three communities -- Owasso, Broken Arrow and Jenks -- were asking voters to approve bond issues to improve schools, roads and fire service.

Three multi-million dollar bond issues were defeated Tuesday in Owasso.

Prop 1 - Improvement to sports facilities.

Yes - 676
No - 4,146

Prop 2 - Streets improvements.

Yes - 1,088
No - 3,742

Prop 3 - Economic development.

No - 4,026

Opponents had been campaigning heavily against the bonds that would pay for road widening, park improvements, an aquatics center, and soccer and baseball facilities.

In Jenks, voters decided improvements to the fire and police departments were not worth an increase in property taxes.

Yes - 288
No – 585

Broken Arrow voters approved a ballot question asking permission to reallocate $73.5 million from a 2009 bond issue.

Yes - 2,671
No - 745

The bond will fund new pre-k and childhood development centers. The money will also improve elementary schools.
