IRVING, Texas – University of Tulsa guard Jordan Clarkson has been named to the preseason all-Conference USA basketball second team as selected by the C-USA coaches, it was announced today by the league office.

Last year Clarkson, a 6'4" sophomore, averaged 11.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists as a true freshman. His play last season earned him a selection to the C-USA all-freshman team.

The San Antonio, Texas native ranked third on the team in scoring and tallied 310 total points, the third most points for a freshman in school history.

On the year, Clarkson shot 43-percent from the field, 30-percent from three-point range and 79-percent from the free throw line.

Clarkson played in 27 games, missing five contests with an injury, and started nine games in helping the Hurricane post a 19-13 record and finish second in Conference USA.
