TULSA, Oklahoma -- SkyNews6 was in the air yet again Friday, checking out the matchups between Catoosa Indians and Oologah Mustangs and the Pryor Tigers and the Claremore Zebras for Friday Night Flights.
Catoosa jumped out to a three-score led in the first quarter, but the Mustangs answered back with a long touchdown pass to close the gap to 21-6 at the end of the quarter. The Indians capitalized on an Oologah turnover in the second quarter and cracked off a 20-yard touchdown to take a 28-6 lead into halftime.
The Mustangs scored early in the third quarter to close the gap to 14 points, but Catoosa scored back-to-back touchdowns to put the game out of reach and win 42-28.
Pryor came out of the gates hot, scoring on 56-yard touchdown run on is first play from scrimmage to take a 6-0 lead. However, Claremore responded with a long run of its own, a 38-yard rushing touchdown with less than four minutes to play in the first quarter.
That score would hold until the fourth quarter, when Pryor scored on a 19-yard touchdown run with just seven minutes left to play, which proved to be enough to win the game.
