Hundreds Of Tulsa Children Walk To School Wednesday Morning

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Wednesday was Walk to School across Oklahoma and in Tulsa.

Students across Tulsa participated in organized walks to their elementary schools.

Students at Burroughs Elementary School at 1924 North Cincinnati walked from nearby Cheyenne Park to the school.

Also students at Eliot Elementary School near 41st and Rockford walked to school with staff members and their parents.

Walk to School Day is a day set aside where school districts encourage students and their families to walk to school.

It is estimated that 40,000 children from more than 95 school districts participated in the annual day.
