STILLWELL, Oklahoma -- The Stilwell Police Department has asked for help from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate a suspicious death that happened Monday, September 26, 2011.

Stilwell firefighters responded to a house fire at a home at 215 West Elm Street just after 8 p.m. While fighting the fire, firefighters discovered a body inside.

The state Medical Examiner's Office took the body to its Tulsa office and is trying to determine the identity of the victim and the cause and manner of death.

The OSBI says the victim is not the person who resided at that home.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigators are following several leads but the agency has declined to release any more information.
