BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- A 45-year-old Bartlesville man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for a 2009 assault on his wife.

Marty Owens was found guilty by a Washington County jury in June of assault with intent to kill, pointing a firearm, DUI and first degree burglary stemming from the incident.

Bartlesville Police say on August 23, 2009, Owens rammed his pickup truck through his wife's home and then tried to shoot and strangle her.
