Former Terlton Fire Chief And Girlfriend Waive Extradition

Two Pawnee County residents wanted in Oklahoma on embezzlement charges have waived extradition during a court hearing Luna County, New Mexico.

DEMING, New Mexico -- Two Pawnee County residents wanted in Oklahoma on embezzlement charges waived extradition during a court hearing in Luna County, New Mexico.

Charles Badgwell and Janet Kirby were arrested in the western New Mexico community of Deming on Friday.

Pawnee County Sheriff's deputies are expected in Deming by this weekend to pick them up and return them to Oklahoma.  

In an arrest warrant affidavit, Pawnee County Sheriff's deputies said the pair took several pieces of fire department equipment and from what deputies could determine so far, embezzled $3,964.

Badgwell is being held on $100,000 and Kirby on $10,000 embezzlement bonds.
