SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Sand Springs Police have arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with the armed robbery of convenience store late Tuesday night in their city.
John Sexton was spotted by police driving a silver Ford Taurus at 10:40 a.m. in the 14500 block of West 41st.
He was arrested with help from the Sapulpa Police Department and taken to the Sand Springs Police Department on complaints of attempted armed robbery and assault while wearing a mask.
The attempted robbery happened just after 9 p.m. on September 13, 2011 at the convenience store in the 1600 block of West Wekiwa.
Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter says the store's clerk suffered a minor injury to her hand running away from Sexton.

Once Sexton gets to the Tulsa County jail, police expect his bond to be $30,000.
