BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- A classic aircraft from the early days of commercial air travel will be making a stop at Bartlesville's Municipal Airport on Thursday, September 15, 2011 to Sunday, September 18, 2011.
The 1929 Ford Tri-Motor, nicknamed the "Tin Goose," was built by the Ford Motor Company in the late 1920's and played a major part in the development of safe and reliable air transport in the United States.
The visit to Bartlesville brings the opportunity for aviation and history buffs to see and ride in the world's first mass-produced airliner.
Flights will be available to the public.
