TULSA, Oklahoma -- For the past 15 years, Tulsa has hosted the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

It started as a small event to raise money to help fight breast cancer and has now grown into a major fundraiser and one of the largest races in the state of Oklahoma.

Ann and Dave Jones were two of the first people to volunteer for the race and they've been a part of it every year.

Ann and Dave Jones visited with LeAnne during Wednesday morning's Six in the Morning program.

Registration still going on for the race on September 17, 2011 so if you're interested in putting together a team or joining my team, it's very simple to sign up to race.

Visit NewsOn6.com and look for LeAnne's team, then follow the prompts.

Again, the Race For The Cure is Saturday, September 17th.

Before heading to the race event, watch a half-hour pre-race special starting at 6:30 a.m. on Channel 6.
