TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa police say an employee was shot in the chest Sunday morning at Sunny's Mid-K Beauty Supply store, 5056 N. Peoria. Tulsa emergency crews responded to the shooting just before 9 a.m.
Police are investigating, trying to determine if it was a robbery attempt or a shooting targeted at the employee.
They believe the worker was answering the front door to tell a man the store was closed. The suspect forced his way into the business and shot the employee once with what police believe was a small caliber weapon.
The suspect left without taking anything from the store, police say.
The victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital where is expected to recover.
