BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- One person is dead after a single-vehicle wreck in Broken Arrow.

Police responded to the crash at 129th East Avenue (Olive) and 111th Street South (Florence) at about 10:17 p.m.

Police say Dillon Shipley, 18, and his female passenger were southbound when a deer reportedly ran in front of the car.

According to police, the 2006 Pontiac G6 went off the roadway on the east side of 129th East Avenue and rolled several times ejecting both Shipley and his passenger.

The passenger was killed.  Her identity has not been released.

Shipley was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was admitted in serious condition, according to Broken Arrow Police Sergeant Ed Ferguson.

Police say neither Shipley nor his passenger was wearing a seat belt.  They don't believe alcohol was a factor in the wreck.

Broken Arrow police are still investigating the accident, Ferguson said.
