Pryor Couple Injured When Their Motorcycle Hits Horse

A Pryor couple was injured Friday night when their motorcycle struck a horse that was standing in the middle of a county road in Mayes County.

PRYOR, Oklahoma -- A Pryor couple was injured Friday night when their motorcycle struck a horse that was standing in the middle of a county road in Mayes County.

David Keith Justice and Tina S. Justus were both admitted to a Tulsa hospital with injuries after their Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the horse on County Road East West 480, about two miles west of Pryor.

The wreck happened at 9:14 p.m., according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

David Justus, 55, was taken by medical helicopter to Tulsa where he was admitted in fair condition with head, arm, leg and trunk injuries. Passenger Tina Justus, 51, was taken by ambulance to a Tulsa hospital in good condition with head, arm, leg and trunk injuries.

Neither rider was wearing a helmet, according to the report. There was no word on the condition of the horse.
