Tulsa Police Department Hoping To Earn Accreditation

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Police Department is going under the microscope, hoping to earn a highly-coveted honor.

A team from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement or CALEA came to town Saturday to look at how TPD operates.

But, they want to know what you think. You're invited to call 918-596-9339 Sunday to share your thoughts. The phone line's open from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

You can also speak in person at a special meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. in the COMPSTAT conference room at the Tulsa Police Building downtown.

Telephone comments as well as appearances are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with CALEA's standards.
