After losing to the Seattle Storm Saturday night, the Tulsa Shock has now dropped to 1-17 this season. The team has lost a dozen straight games, including all seven of the games with Teresa Edwards as its interim head coach.
The losing is past embarrassing. The Shock hasn't won back-to-back games since beating Indiana on May 29th and then Minnesota on June 4th of last year. It's the only time in during its Tulsa tenure that the Shock has won two in a row. Since then, the team is 3-42. A lot has changed since Tulsa was off to a 4-3 start in its first season here in Oklahoma. Here are a few of the changes:
On June 4, 2010…
-The national average for a gallon of gasoline was $2.73. It's now $3.71.
-The NFL lockout hadn't begun yet. It since has ended.
-The Lakers and Celtics were battling for the NBA title
-LeBron James was still a Cleveland Cavalier.
-OSU golfer Peter Uihlein was still two months away from winning the U.S. Amateur
-We were a week away from the start of the Men's World Cup in South Africa.
