TULSA, Oklahoma -- One man got a million dollar surprise when Antiques Roadshow came to Tulsa last weekend.

While he's a big winner, another area resident lost something of great sentimental value.

When the Antiques Roadshow came to Tulsa, Thomas Bender and his wife thought it would be fun to see what some of their things are worth.

"I thought it would be a great experience. Heck, who knows maybe I would be the one surprised with a mound of money. Unfortunately that wasn't the case," Thomas said.

And unfortunately Bender and his wife didn't leave with some of the items they brought. In this case, it's not a good thing.

"Put the furniture back on the dolly, and forgot to pick up the box," he said.

The Benders accidentally left that box full of items, including a spear head shaped fossil Benders' wife found as a child. And some old family photos and postcards, including the only photo the family has of a great aunt.

"My wife's heart is sick because two of her most precious items are in there," Thomas said.

When the Benders' checked back with the convention center's lost and found, the box full of items wasn't there. They fear someone took them.

"Being a Christian person myself, I just can't understand people wanting to take something," he said.

The items aren't especially valuable, but they're priceless to the Benders. It's hoped they're returned soon, so they can get back the pieces of family history and peace of mind.

The box has the Benders' name and address in it. Their phone number is 918-266-6076.
