CHOCTAW, Oklahoma – Carl Albert defeated Sand Springs 6-1 in the Choctaw Invitational Friday.
The Titans scored four times in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie. Carl Alberts’ Gavin LaValley supplied the big hit with a 2-run home run over the right field fence to give the Titans a 5-1 lead.
Carl Alberts’ Mark Meadors increased their lead to five with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning. Meadors finished with two hits, along with teammates AJ Wilson and LaValley.
