Vinita Advances to Semis With OT Victory over Roland
Vinita outscored Roland 17-8 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

OKLAHOMA CITY – It took overtime, but Vinita was able to advance to the 4A State Semifinals with the 54-47 win over Roland.
Roland led 37-28 going into the fourth, but Vinita outscored the Rangers 17-8 in the fourth to tied it all up at 45 and force the game into overtime.
In overtime Roland managed just two points.
Vinita led 15-13 after the first quarter, but Roland took a two point lead 26-24 into half.
Vinita's Jake Roach led all scorers with 20, including 6 of the Hornets 9 points in overtime. Jake Bullard added 18 for Vinita.
Roland was led by Gunner Lynch and Caleb Daniel who scored 15 points a piece.
Roland finishes the season with a 22-2 record.
Vinita will face defending state champs Douglass at 7:30 at the Fairgrounds.
