TECUMSEH, Oklahoma -- A basketball game between Tecumseh High School and Riverside got out of control in the final minutes.
A witness sitting in the student section says it was a rough game all night. Freshman Kane Ozment was sitting only feet from where the fight broke out. He says a hard foul was called, some words were exchanged between players, and it just exploded from there. He recalls the Riverside players on the bench rush the Tecumseh players on the court.
"There were a lot of punches and everything,” said Ozment. “It happened so fast."
School officials and law enforcement moved fast to break up the fight. A reporter covering the game for the local newspaper says it was over in a matter of minutes.
"I've gone to a lot of Tecumseh games, covered them for 8 years for the paper and I've never seen anything like that here," said Danny Chambers.
Officials called the game early and fans were quickly cleared out of the gym. There were no injuries, and no word if anyone was arrested or charges.
