TULSA, Oklahoma – One day after being upset by 2A Talihina in the Tournament of Champions, the East Central Cardinals took out their frustration on the Stratford Bulldogs.
On Wednesday at the Expo Square Pavilion, the Cardinals took out the Bulldogs 87-54. The bright spot for Stratford was the play of star senior Dalen Qualls, who notched a game-high 31 points. The Cardinals’ leading scorer was senior forward Andrew Wilson, who poured in 27.
The full-court press of East Central created problems all day for the Bulldogs, whose turnovers led to many of the Cardinal points. After holding a double digit lead through virtually the entire 1st half, East Central capped off the 2nd quarter on a 10-2 run and never looked back.
On Thursday, East Central will face Forgan at 1:30, while Stratford will play Prestonat noon Thursday.
