East Central Girls Take Down Apache 49-34

TULSA, Oklahoma – Last season’s 5A state runner-up was tested on Thursday, but the East Central Lady Cardinals beat the 2AApache Lady Warriors, 49-34. The game was part of the 12th annual Oklahoma’s Best High School Girls Basketball Tournament being held at the Reynolds Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa. The tournament runs through Saturday.
East Central junior forward U’Knique Gaines led the Lady Cardinals with 14 points. Lady Cardinal sophomore Darreion Clark chipped in 11 points before fouling out late in the game. On the Lady Warriors side, senior Kassie Swanda led the way with 14 points.
The Oklahoma’s Best Tournament continues on Friday, December 10th, with East Central playing at 7:00 p.m. and Apache tipping off at 2:00 p.m.
