ENID, Oklahoma—Class A semi-final action Friday saw the Woodland Cougars top the Thomas Terriers 46-26.

In the first Thomas comes out with a bit of trickery and Tyler Mannering takes the hand off and throws deep to Scott Watt for the 30-yard touchdown putting the Terriers up 7-0.

Then Woodland tailback Willie Zachary takes it to the house with an 18-yard touchdown run as well as the 2-point conversion putting the Cougars up 8-7.

Later in the first, on fourth down, Thomas’ Alfred Reyes throws to Payton Marsh for the 13-yard score making it 14-8 Thomas.

Then in the second Zachary takes in another rushing touchdown for the Bulldogs to go up 16-14.

Later on in the second, perhaps the play of the game, Patrick Bartlett throws to Willie Zachary and it looks like he is about to be taken down, but he breaks the tackle and runs it in for the touchdown putting them up 24-14 and Thomas would never come within reach.

Woodland wins it 46-26 over Thomas who finishes out the season at 12-2 on the year.

Woodland advances to take on Stratford for the Class A State Championship. Game date and time have not been announced yet, but the game will be played at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
