TULSA, Oklahoma – Edmond North’s impressive end to its season and improbable playoff run were stopped abruptly on Friday night as Tulsa Union handed the Huskies a 58-17 loss.
The Union offense got down to business early, jumping out to a 21-0 lead on a 65-yard touchdown run from Jalen Hearron.
The Huskies bounced back, with Cameron Bohnert connecting on a 35-yard field goal and Troy Davis going three yards for a score to pull to within 21-10.
But Union took back the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and the rout was on from there.
North’s only other score in the game came against Union’s backups in the fourth quarter.
The Huskies finished the season at 6-6 and won three of their past four games before taking on the Redskins.
Union (11-1) will advance to the semifinals to take on the undefeated Lawton Wolverines.
