OKLAHOMA CITY -- This year’s High School Basketball Media Day hosted by CoachesAid.com and Oklahoma Sports provided the season’s first look at talent from across the state of Oklahoma.
The event wasn’t just about high school talent on the hardwood, as many coaches who attended bragged about having not lost their court skills.
This year the court competition continued outside the Cox Convention Center with a free throw contest.
One–by-one, participants took their turn to see who could make the highest number of consecutive free throws.
In the end, no one could compete with head coach Robert Lancaster.
Lancaster, the girls head basketball coach at Okemah High School, shot and unparalleled 52 free throws in a row.
Coach Lancaster enters his third season with Okemah, and for his free throw shooting excellence, he received a basketball goal courtesy of Academy Sports.
Be sure to stay tuned to Oklahoma Sports because the other free throw champions in the girls and boys divisions will be announced soon.
