OKLAHOMA CITY—The Moss girls team has their work cut out for them in Class A with a new head coach and the task of replacing four starters.

Last year’s head coach Bobby Sifers retired after 33 years of coaching and building the Moss program to what it was.

Last season they went 28-3, and lost by four points in the Class B quarterfinals to the eventual state champion, Boynton.

Sifers is replaced by John Talley, who has coached boy’s basketball for more than 20 years.

The Pirates graduated five seniors from last year, four of which were starters.

Carlee Talley, daughter of Coach Talley is the only returning starter. Moss will look to the five-foot-five senior’s playing experience to help the team mesh.

Moss does have a few other juniors who must step up such as Katie Foster, Madeline Moss, Nathalie Hamilton and Jordan Samford if the Pirates are to be successful this season.
