Glenpool Holds On against McGuinness, 26-23
Warriors advance to second round of 4A playoffs.

GLENPOOL, Oklahoma – Glenpool protected its home turf and advanced to the second round on Friday, knocking off Bishop McGuinness, 26-23.
The first half was mostly uneventful on offense, with McGuinness jumping out to an early 7-0 lead.
But Glenpool responded, although missing its extra point, to pull to within 7-6 at halftime.
After a safety from the Irish, the teams traded touchdowns and McGuinness led 16-12 at the end of the third quarter.
Glenpool scored in the fourth and managed the two-point conversion, leading 20-16.
The teams traded touchdowns and the Warriors were able to hang on to see another game while McGuinness (7-4) was eliminated.
Glenpool (9-2) will head to Wagoner for second round action on Friday at 7:30.
